Facility and Private Duty Care

Being away from home, it can be very disorienting for those with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other similar conditions may be unable to find basic items or perform tasks they could in their own space. Facility private duty caregivers bring a sense of calm and normalcy by assisting them. 

Not all Americans have the choice to remain in their homes while they age, finding the right type of private duty care for loved ones can be a challenge. NPHS staff provides the peace of mind, trust, and security your loved one needs, even while in a nursing home, rehabilitation center, or assisted living facility.

 

Private duty care assist those experiencing debilitating conditions as they perform daily tasks. These services are often associated with home care help, however they also are provided in facilities such as:

  • Nursing homes

  • Retirement homes

  • Hospitals

  • Assisted Living Facilities

NPHS provides non-medical bedside aide services that may include, but are not limited to:

  • Continuously monitoring and observing the patient

  • Following any special precautions as required

  • Keeping the patient physically comfortable: turning the patient, adjusting the bed, fluffing pillows, etc.

  • Preventing the patient from accidentally harming themselves by falling or pulling out their IV

  • Assisting with feeding and grooming tasks

  • Making reports on the patient’s condition to the medical care team

  • Alerting medical professionals if the patient attempts to leave the room or facility
